Great Savoy Sessions 3LP Box Set by King Record
This 3LP Box Set by King Record (released in the mid 80's) is really unique and not many Jazz collectors know it.
They compiled great Savoy sessions starting from Swing era, to Jazz vocals, Be Bop, Hard Bop to New Jazz era and put them in 3LPs.
The selection of the songs was done by the legendary Jazz producer and author, Bob Porter and King members.
Wow...the sound quality, pressing quality and the sleeve/box quality, everything is PERFECT!
I was als amazed at the recording quality of the original sessions. Adding the quality of mastering, cutting and pressing by King, the original recording quality of these sessions by Savoy is really, really superb!!
I rarely rate this kind of compilation great but this compilation is a must have box set!

The 20 page booklet contains a lot of interesting pictures and stories of Savoy!
On page 18 and 19, the all Savoy titles and Regent titles are listed!
