Greatness of Blue Note Unissued Master Series by King Record and Its History

You know the Blue Note Unissued Master Series by King Record, right?

This time, I want to talk about the greatness of this series.

In the late 70's, King Record started releasing un sessions of Blue Note recordings with GXF serial.
If I count, there are more than 20 titles released at that time.

Most of the titles released as GKF were reissued by King Record in the early 80's with GXK Serial.
Together with the reissue of GXF Serial titles, they also released MORE never released sessions with GXK Serial titles - 20 new titles.

Man...you can't imagine WHY BLUE NOTE decided not release those great sessions!!
Most of them...or I should say all of them are great!!

Later on, Blue Note decided to reissue some of the titles from the Blue Note Unissued Master Series, funny...

Despite of the greatness of these Blue Note Unissued Master Series by King Record, there is a myth....
Master Tape that King Record used
It has been said that King Record at that time were not able to acquire original master tape, but 3rd or 4th generation copy of the master...

I don't know why but back in those days, King Record, even Toshiba EMI were not able to acquire the original master tapes but 3rd or 4th generation copies....

But still, they did a great job to recreate great sound out of mediocre 2nd quality master!!
I sometimes feel that Blue Note should have given King Record an award to uncover those great sessions to the world!!

Don't you think so?
