Unissued Sessions Hank Mobley BLP 1560 by Toshiba EMI

Not many Jazz collectors know this album, the album Toshiba EMI for the 1st time in the world produced and issued.
Hank Mobley Quintet Featuring Sonny Clark Blue Note BNJ 61006
If you look at the jacket, obviously this is identical with Blue Note BLP 1560, right?
But this album is an unissued sessions of Hank Mobley in 1957 the time BLP 1560 was recorded and issued.

This BNJ 61006 is a kind of unissued session album like King Record did with Blue Note Unissued master series.
Along with this BNJ 61006, Toshiba EMI in the mid 80's issued some other unissued sessions like Kenny Dorham At the Cafe Bohemia Vol. 2 and 3. This series is called
The Other Side of BLP 1500 Series
At the end of this series, they compiled a great 3 LP Box set,
The Other Side of Blue Note BLP 1500 Series
I sold this copy many times in the past.
Back to the BNJ 61006.
What is more interesting is that they used
STEREO MASTER NOT MONO MASTER
This is not a fake stereo, they used a STEREO MASTER that RVG himself recorded in 1957. VERY INTERESTING, right?
1957 is the time RVG started recording Blue Note sessions with MONO and STEREO at the same time.

So, to me this BNJ 61006 is really unique and underrated, not known album. The pressing, sound, sleeve quality are all great.

Lastly, at the back of the sleeve, you can read a great article of these sessions or Hank Mobley by a legendary Jazz critic, Michael Cascuna.
