In the past I featured some but this title is
One Of The Most Underrated Titles of Art Blakey!
The title is
A Night In Tunisia - Art Blakey on RCA Victor
As the title goes, most of you guys think about the same title on Blue Note right?
Blue Note A Night In Tunisia was released in 1961 and this RCA Victor A Night In Tunisia was recorded and released in 1957. A long before the famous Blue Note A Night In Tunisia was released, this great session on RCA Victor was released!

Nobody doubts that the members on Blue Note A Night In Tunisia are great, but this RCA Victor session members are also great you know.

Jackie McLean on Alto, Johnny Griffin on Tenor, Bill Hardman on Trumpet and so on.

On the 1st track, A Night In Tunisia, Blakey's drumming, McLean's Alto and Griffin's Tenor are going wild!

The only one downsize of this album is the quality of the original recording. I must admit that it is not that good...

In 1981, RVC Japan (a sister company of Victor Music Japan) reissued this title.

Since not many Jazz collectors care about this album, you can get this reissue usually cheap! So, whenever you find it on the market, I recommend you to give it a shot!
