The Only Available 10 inch Blue Note Reissues in Japan
Toshiba EMI in the early 90's did a great job reissuing 10 inch Blue Note series, known as BLP 5000 series.

That is the name of the series.
I believe they are the 1st company did that approach all around the world. Later years Universal Music US did the same.
They restored the original jacket design and label design. The pressing quality and the sound quality are amazingly superb!
It is funny that at that time, they didn't have their own pressing facility. Again, Toyo kasei did a fantastic job to press high quality vinyl and made high quality sleeves and OBI!! I love this cute OBI, blue white and cute fonts.
The serial they used is TOJJ. The same serial used with their premium Blue Note reissue series - used RVG master but digitally processed.
But...since they pressed these amazing 10 inch Blue Note series ON DEMAND at that time, not many copies were manufactured...
Nowadays, it is hard for you to find them on the market even here in Japan.
Look at how they made the sleeve with every detail restored.
OBI is really cute with blue white in color like King Record, GXF and GXK!
What about the label design? They restored the original Lexington Label too!
